More than a year after the end of its regular activities between Paris and New York, La Compagnie is preparing its restart in June 2021. The French 100% business-class carrier has obtained a second loan guaranteed by the State (PGE) of an amount of 10 million euros, similar to that obtained in June 2020. In addition, there is a “significant contribution” from shareholders, specifies La Compagnie. As a reminder, these shareholders number around forty, businessmen, families, a few companies or institutional actors … We find there in particular Charles Beigbeder, Cogepa, Michel Cicurel, the Belgian group SPDG and, most important among them, Motier, the holding company of the Moulin family, owner of Galeries Lafayette (20%).
“Obtaining this second State Guaranteed Loan is a guarantee of recovery for La Compagnie. We have never stopped reinventing ourselves during this year to face the crisis and find new levers of activity or even short-term development in order to guarantee the longevity of La Compagnie. We are now in the home stretch of preparation for the recovery and look forward to providing our customers with the best in business class, ”said Christian Vernet, President of La Compagnie.
The latter plans a return to regular activity in June 2021 between Paris and New York and early July 2021 between Nice and New York, provided that the borders reopen.
