The Administrative Prosecution ordered the referral of the head of the anesthesia department, the surgical specialist, and a diagnostic radiologist at Belbeis Central Hospital for disciplinary trial, to charge them with Medical neglect Al-Jassem, who resulted in the death of a woman after her arrival at the hospital, was injured in a car accident, where the Administrative Prosecution received a notification from the Eastern Affairs Directorate of Health Affairs regarding the incident, and the Belbeis Prosecution office began its investigations headed by Ahmed Saeed Abdullah, the Public Prosecutor, and the supervision of Counselor Yasser Zaghloul, Deputy Director of the Prosecution.-
The investigations revealed the gross negligence of the defendants in fulfilling their job duties, by their complete absence from the night shift assigned to them on the night of the accident, and even by the gross medical negligence of the first and second accused in dealing with the case after they were summoned by phone to attend the hospital, which resulted in her death.
Accusations were brought against the accused, “the first suspect”, the head of the hospital’s anesthesia department, absent himself from the evening shift in the hospital assigned to that day, and after discovering his absence and calling him on the phone he attended the hospital, but he refrained from performing his work in cooperation with the surgeon (the second accused) towards anesthetizing the condition, which As a result, he did not perform the necessary exploratory surgery, and he left his results in the hospital, despite his knowledge of the seriousness of the condition, which led to her death.
The second accused was accused of “hospital surgery specialist” charges of absenteeism in the evening shift in the hospital in charge on that day, and after discovering his absence and calling him on the phone, he attended the hospital without taking the necessary medical measures towards conducting the necessary exploratory surgical operation, or examining it, or following it without notification The head of the department, or the director of the hospital, the anesthesiologist refuses to perform the anesthesia to perform the operation to explore the case, or transfer it to another hospital, if the necessary exploration cannot be done, and he leaves the work after calling him, and calls his knowledge of the seriousness of the case which led to her death.
The third accused was charged with “a diagnostic radiologist at Belbeis Central Hospital”, who was absent from attending the evening shift assigned to him on the day of the accident.
