Reference NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 appeared in all its glory on unofficial renders

Yesterday online appeared The first photo of the upcoming GeForce RTX 3080 video card in the reference version. As usual, the published photo (at the end of the news) was not of high quality. However, on its basis, the not indifferent masters of 3D modeling presented their works demonstrating the new video card in all its glory.

The video card shown has a very unusual cooling system, which includes two fans with a massive radiator. It sounds quite ordinary. However, it’s unusual here that the fans are located on both sides of the video card: one above the GPU on the front side, and the other at the rear end on the back.

The PCB is also unique here, in which one of the ends has a V-shape. Due to this, it turned out to install the fans on both sides of the video card without increasing its height – the GeForce RTX 3080 shown only takes up two expansion slots.

At the moment, it is impossible to say with confidence that NVIDIA will release a new video card in this particular design. It is very likely that this is only a prototype, showing one of the options. If NVIDIA really releases the GeForce RTX 3080 in this form, it is unclear whether video card manufacturers will receive the same reference V-neck printed circuit boards, or whether they will be provided with more traditional solutions.

The graphics card GeForce RTX 3080 on the Ampere GPU should be presented in the coming months. When exactly this will happen is still difficult to predict, but most likely in the second half of the summer.
