Inter Miami is getting ready for the third round of this year’s edition of MLS. At 10:30 p.m. Swedish time, they host Orlando City.
The idea was that the Brazilian referee Guilherme Ceretta would start the meeting. Now it won’t be like that – for a special reason.
CBS Sports writes that he is being replaced at the last minute. The reason is that he is posing in an Inter Miami jersey, in a post on X published by the MLS Referee Stats account.
The Professional Referees Organization (PRO) has sent a press release to The Athletic. It states, among other things:
“Referee Guilherme Ceretta has been removed from the match due to a potential conflict.”
The replacement will be the fourth referee Jamie Herrera.
Inter Miami has taken four points out of six possible so far. As you know, Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets play in the team.
