Reese Witherspoon possibly prosecuted for clothing donation deception | NOW

American actress Reese Witherspoon may face legal prosecution for giving dresses to American teachers at the beginning of the corona crisis, reports TMZ.

The company of 44-year-old Witherspoon, Draper James, announced on Instagram in early April that he wanted to support American teachers by handing out free dresses.

All the teachers needed to do was provide their personal information. However, three American women have fallen over these conditions.

In total, only 250 dresses were available, while nearly a million teachers shared their personal information. Although Witherspoon’s company made it clear on social media that there was only a limited amount of dresses available, the three women feel the teachers have been tricked.

Colleagues would have donated more money

According to them, the action also costs ‘only’ about 12,500 dollars (converted 11,000 euros). They point out to Witherspoon that her colleagues donated much more money during the corona crisis.

Draper James’s lawyer is late TMZ know to face the lawsuit with confidence: “This lawsuit is only trying to undermine the good intentions of the company. The fact that only a limited number of dresses were available was clearly stated and does not form the basis for any charges.”
