After a series of disagreements and mutual accusations on social media following their divorce, Reem Tariq, the ex-husband of festival artist Hassan Shakoush, came out in a video on her personal Facebook account to announce the end of the disputes that broke out between them during the past months.
Reem said in the video: “Praise be to God… I took all my legal rights from Hassan, and thank God I turned out to be a good person, and he is also a good person, and a respectable man, and all that happened was a misunderstanding and the intervention of more than one party, and no one whose conduct went wrong.” The matter is whether from his family, my family, or his mother, so their right is over me, and everything is a division and a share.”
For his part, Shakoush commented on his ex-wife Reem Tariq’s apology, and her praise of him after she obtained all her legal rights from him after the separation, by re-publishing the video and commenting on it by saying: “I first thank you, Reem, for the word of truth that you said about me now and for mentioning that you did not see anything but good from me.” And I accept your apology for what you said, while I did not have any reaction in front of people, and it is not part of my upbringing that I slander people’s daughters, even if I respond to words that hurt me or insult me.”
He added: “Even though this had a psychological impact on me, my family, and everyone around me, I accepted your apology. May God forgive what came before and forgive me generously. I wish you all the best in your life and I will always see you well.”
