Counter-Strike 2 isn’t even out yet, but it’s already getting updates as Nvidia’s Reflex technology, which reduces latency, should be released in time for the game’s release this summer. Latency really matters when it comes to serious online gaming, and Nvidia claimsthat the new technology could cut latency by up to 35% in Counter-Strike 2.
Of course, the slower your graphics card is, the more Reflex assistance will be felt, so this feature will actually help gamers on older GPUs more than on cutting-edge graphics cards.

Nvidia’s demo slide shows that with Reflex enabled, latency on the GTX 1060 board dropped from 26ms to 17ms. At the top, the company unexpectedly referred to the yet-to-be-announced RTX 4070, which, as expected, was the least noticeable improvement. Nevertheless, the numbers are impressive, and besides, the technology must be implemented at the level of the game engine.
Of course, the Reflex feature will only be available to owners of Nvidia GPUs, potentially giving them an advantage over those using low-end AMD graphics cards, not to mention any models with integrated graphics. Shooters that already support Reflex include Fortnite, Valorant, and Apex Legends.
