Could Alexander Kadiev have a more demanding schedule in “Before Afternoon”?
This is what the beloved TV presenter recently discussed with the team of the show, as he really wants to have time to shoot films and play in the theater. But he probably wasn’t ready to leave BBC, where he is under contract.
“He hasn’t gone anywhere. 2 years ago, he was still wondering if he should leave”, this is how the producer of the talk show, Georgi Toshev, responded to the rumors that Kadiev is leaving the show. Neither the actor nor BBC have commented. But Toshev confirmed that they considered together how to have more free time to show his acting talent.
At the time, when Kadiev entered the show, he was part of the troupe of the Small City Theater “Behind the Canal” and worked both there and on television. He leaves the theater because of his huge TV employment. The fact is that he now participates in traveling shows, but like any talented artist, he misses working with the great Bulgarian directors. At the same time, as an employee of BTV, he cannot appear in series on Nova TV and BNT, for example.
That is why there are preliminary talks about the new season in the fall. Traditionally, the show is renewed every year, so it is quite possible that it will appear with two leading teams or with several main persons, and he will be one of them, says Toshev. No wonder he got his own show on the show.
Toshev himself did not know that the actor had submitted a notice of resignation. Even with the availability of official information, he as a producer could organize casting for presenters, as well as think about a major conceptual change of the show.
“I’m not a fan of replacing one presenter with another,” says Toshev, who believes that it is quite possible that the show will appear with a brand new concept after 11 years on the air. It turned them old this February.
However, there will be no changes in this season, which for “Before Noon” ends at the end of June.
