Indeed, like his teammate Iosefa Tekori last October, Charlie Faumuina decided to use the “Head Contact Process” set up by World Rugby in order to mitigate the sanction a little more. In other words, the Toulouse prop will have to undergo a specific tackle training workshop in order to correct his technique and be less inclined to commit the type of fault that caused his suspension. If this protocol is validated by World Rugby, Charlie Faumuina will no longer be suspended for three weeks but only two. The native of Auckland could thus strengthen the first line of his club in the event of a semi-final.
