Written Question No. 05786 from

Mme
Else Joseph

(Ardennes – The Republicans)

published in the JO Senate of 03/16/2023 – page 1812

Mrs. Else Joseph questions the Minister of National Education and Youth about class closures. Indeed, the school map reforms envisaged in our departments provide for class closures, accompanied by a reduction in the number of teachers. This is bad news for students, for parents and for teachers. At a time when duplication and small classes have effectively demonstrated their effectiveness, the purely accounting management of national education does not convince anyone. In the Ardennes, we deplore a project to cut 20 teaching posts in the first degree. She asks him about the relevance of this approach, far removed from the real needs of our territories. So she asks him if the choice of small classes should not be the way to go for a school of excellence.

Awaiting response from the Minister of National Education and Youth.
