Jakarta, Selular.ID – Redmi seems to have a new product line up soon. The Xiaomi sub-brand will reportedly launch the first gaming phone to come with the latest Dimensity 1200 chipset.
Information circulating says that the Dimensity 1200 processor that MediaTek has just announced will support Redmi’s first gaming smartphone. This news was first echoed by Chinese leakers through the Digital Chat Station on Weibo.
Previously, General Manager of Redmi, Lu Weibing has also confirmed that it will indeed launch its first flagship gaming smartphone this year. He also revealed that the Dimensity 1200 will make its world debut on Redmi phones, most likely the Redmi K40 series which is expected to launch soon.
That way, there will be two Redmi phones powered by Dimensity 1200, one of which is a gaming phone.
Dimensity 1200 is a 6nm chipset with four Cortex-A78 cores and four Cortex-A55 cores. It has a main Cortex-A78 core which is clocked at 3.0GHz.
It also has the Mali-G77 MC9 GPU which should be able to handle any game it runs but is not as good as the Mali-G78 found on the Exynos 1080, Exynos 2100, and Kirin 9000 / 9000E chipsets. ).

Unfortunately, the specs of the Redmi gaming phone are still not revealed. However, it was reported by the same source as saying that the Redmi gaming smartphone has a high refresh rate, even though it might be an LCD and not an AMOLED screen.
