Previously, screenshots had appeared on the internet saying that Redmi would announce the Redmi Note 9 5G series. From the screenshot, we also know that the smartphone will be launched on November 26, 2020 in China.
Now, Redmi has officially confirmed that the Note 9 lineup will launch on November 26 at 8pm local time. The smartphone manufacturer, which is a sub-brand of Xiaomi, has also shared posters via its Weibo account and it looks like what the mid-range smartphone design looks like.
In the launch poster, the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is seen in two color choices, namely Purple and Aqua. The rear camera housing is circular and will accommodate four lenses in it. Meanwhile, the LED flash unit is placed on the left side of the camera module.
Previous reports have revealed that the smartphone will have a 108 MP main camera. Meanwhile, when it appeared on Geekbench some time ago, it was revealed that the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G will be powered by a Snapdragon 750G chipset and 8 GB of RAM.
If it is true that the specifications offered are like that, this further confirms that the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G is a tweaked version of the Xiaomi Mi 10T Lite. Unfortunately, the front side of the smartphone in the poster is not shown in full. However, it is well known that the screen has a punch-hole placed in the top center.
Mentioned, the screen still uses an IPS LCD panel with a size of 6.67 inches FullHD + and has a refresh rate of 120Hz. To capture selfies, it is said that this smartphone has a 16 MP front camera. This smartphone is also equipped with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Then, what about the power supply support? Not a few doubt that Redmi will immerse a large capacity battery, which reaches 4,820 mAh. In addition, this smartphone is also reportedly equipped with a fast charging feature, aka 33W fast charging.
Apart from the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G, another series to be introduced is the Redmi Note 9 5G. A number of reliable rumors say that this smartphone also uses an IPS LCD screen panel, but is slightly smaller at 6.53 inches.
Support for the same screen resolution, namely FullHD + and it is also expected to have a high refresh rate. Unlike the “Pro” model, the Redmi Note 9 5G will reportedly be powered by the Dimensity 800U chipset and a 5,000 mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging features.
This smartphone will be equipped with a 48 MP rear camera and a 13 MP front camera. The Redmi Note 9 5G looks set to hit a number of markets outside of China as the Redmi Note 9T. Recently, the 5G-ready Redmi smartphone (M2010J19SC) has also appeared on TENAA. Apparently, this device could be one of the Note 9 series.
