This is a mid-range phone that looks like a flagship due to its stunning design, but it comes at a very high price-performance ratio. It is definitely a perfect competitor to the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ released by Xiaomi, and the Redmi Note 12 series is also a perfect rival to the Realme 10 series.

Quoted by Gizmochina, Saturday (19/11/2022), considering both phones have similar specs and exactly the same hardware department, many people are wondering which one to go for. Through this article we have decided to provide you with all the useful info on which to start: here is a comparison between the main specifications of the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ and the Realme 10 Pro+.

Drawing
There is no challenge when it comes to design: the Realme 10 Pro+ beats the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 10-0. It comes with a very slim design that includes a curved screen on the edges like the more expensive Android flagships, as well as a good choice of colors including Star Light with a very original texture. It’s thinner, lighter and even more compact than its competitors.

The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is not only bigger, but also much thicker and uglier. However, it’s built with premium materials, including a glass back and an aluminum frame. Also, it has IP53 certification which we can say dust and splash proof. So, you get very high build quality with this phone, but not the best design.

Screen
There is not a huge difference between the looks of these two devices and they are more or less on the same level. We’re talking two AMOLED panels which are great for a high-end phone, but not the best out there. With Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus, you get an AMOLED screen capable of displaying up to a billion colors with a 6.67-inch diagonal, Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, maximum brightness of 900 nits, HDR10+ certification, Dolby Vision support, and an in-display fingerprint reader.

Realme 10 Pro Plus has an AMOLED screen with one billion colors, 6.7 inches diagonal, Full HD + resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10 + certification and an integrated fingerprint scanner in the display. Both phones have stereo speakers and 3.5mm audio jacks.

Specifications and software
There is no difference between the hardware department of these two phones when we look at the more expensive memory configuration. Both are powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 1080 chipset: a mid-range processor built on a 6nm manufacturing process and using an octa-core architecture consisting of two Cortex A78 CPUs running at a maximum frequency of 2.6GHz, two Cortex A55 CPU running at 2GHz and Mali G68 MC4 GPU.

Chipset aside, there’s up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 internal storage, but there’s an option with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Note that Realme 10 Pro Plus comes with Android 13 out of the box, while Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus runs Android 12.

Camera
The Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus is the winner in the camera comparison simply because it has a better main camera. We’re referring to Samsung’s 200MP ISOCELL sensor with OIS, paired with an 8MP ultrawide sensor and 2MP macro camera, as well as a 16MP selfie shooter. The Realme 10 Pro Plus has the same secondary sensor and selfie camera, but the main camera is 108MP without OIS.

Battery
The battery life provided by the two devices is similar as both are equipped with 5000mAh batteries and have similar components. But the Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus charges faster thanks to 120W fast charging.

Price
You only need 230 USD or around 3.6 million IDR to buy the Realme 10 Pro Plus (128GB), while the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ starts at 339 USD or 5.3 million IDR (256GB). The latter wins the comparison thanks to the better specifications, but the former has a higher price-performance ratio.
