Last month, Redmi announced the Redmi K40 Gaming as the first smartphone to focus on gaming. The handset is equipped with a mechanical game trigger button. Before it was launched, there were rumors that there would be other variants of the smartphone with a lower chipset.
The smartphone was previously also reported to be launching with the Redmi K40 Gaming. However, Redmi, which is still under the Xiaomi umbrella, only launched the Redmi K40 Gaming. And recently an informant from China has shared the main specifications of the smartphone which will be another variant of the Redmi K40 Gaming.
In February, the Digital Chat Station claimed that the Redmi K40 Gaming smartphone has two versions of the chipset which are powered by MT6893 (Dimensity 1200) and MT6891 (Dimensity 1100). While the former has been launched, Redmi has yet to confirm the arrival of the latter.
The latest information shared by the informant from China reveals that other variants of the Redmi K40 Gaming will be powered by Dimensity 1100. It’s just that the screen design is similar to the Redmi K40 Gaming, has a centrally aligned punch-hole and supports Full HD + resolution of 1,080 x 2,400 pixels. .
The smartphone is also said to have a 64MP main camera on the back, and brings support for 67W fast charging with a 5,000mAh capacity battery. It is highly likely that this handset will enter the Chinese market as the Lite version of the Redmi K40 Gaming.
K40 Gaming itself is sold in China starting from 1,999 Yuan (Rp.4.4 million). Therefore, it is possible that the Dimensity 1100-powered variant will sell starting at around 1,599 Yuan (IDR 3.5 million) or 1,699 Yuan (IDR 3.7 million). Redmi K40 Gaming has the model number M2104K10C.
It seems that the M2104K10AC, seen in places like the 3C benchmarks, TENAA, and Master Lu is the Redmi K40 Gaming Lite. Master Lu’s listing reveals that the handset has an FHD + display, Dimensity 1100 chipset, 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM. Redmi K40 Gaming Lite is strongly suspected to debut later this month.
