Redfall release date leaked; RT for Starfield also on PC?

Todd Howard’s next game could get ray tracing, while we also hear about Redfall, which was made in Arkane Austin.

Let’s start with Redfall. Last year, the Arkane Austin project was postponed to coincide with that of Bethesda Game Studios (from now on we will shorten them as BGS): for both, Microsoft has officially announced that they would arrive on the Xbox Series and PC. (later on Xbox Game Pass) in the first half of 2023. In the case of Starfield, we have already written that the release date on SteamDB has been moved to December 2023 (i.e. Howard’s new IP could have been delayed for another six months …?), but as for Redfall, we just heard From Okami Games, that this game will presumably be released in May, and by pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition, for example, we can start the game a week earlier, which will be Arkane’s first serious multiplayer attempt. (Well, who else remembers The Crossing …? It could have been the first …)

Let’s move on to Starfield. THE Reddit BGS graphics programmer Germain Mazac confirmed Starfield’s ray tracing integration on his LinkedIn profile. There will be RTX integration, so Nvidia’s technologies like DLSS, RTX Global Illumination, and Direct Illumination could appear in Howard’s new fruit. We still don’t know exactly what features they will add to the game, which is understandable because the new release date is not yet known and if Starfield finally arrives in May, it’s still more than six months away.

When the two games were postponed, Microsoft wrote: “We have decided to postpone the release of Redfall and Starfield until the first half of 2023. The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Game Studios (Starfield) have incredible ambitions for their games and we want to make sure you get the best and finest versions of them. We want to thank everyone for their enthusiasm for Redfall and Starfield. This energy contributes a lot to what we create (inspiring us every day and driving our excitement). wait to share your first dive into Redfall and Starfield gameplay soon. Thank you for your support. “

We’ll see what happens with these …
