Redfall has lost most of its players on Steam. Namely, it has lost just over 70% of active users since its launch, according to SteamDB data.
Although the number of users rarely remains fixed at the peak of the launch in the following days, Redfall’s numbers have dropped significantly. The number of concurrently active users dropped from 6,124 to 1,807 (a peak in the last 24 hours). At the time of writing, the actual number on Steam was even lower at 1,276 users. It dropped to 751 users this morning, a four-day low.
This is clearly not surprising, given that the game is not of very high quality and was released with various technical problems.
The only lifeline for the game is probably the Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass. Microsoft’s service will allow many to try the game, and given that it doesn’t come with an extra cost, this could lead to many giving it more than one chance, especially after some patches arrive.
