Redevelopment works in the Plaza de la Sangre area in Segorbe

The Segorbe City Council has begun the redevelopment works of Plaza de la Sangre and Arrabal, San Miguel and Torrejón streets, which will involve the renovation of deteriorated and obsolete urban facilities, and the creation of accessible sidewalks.

The works, which were awarded for a total amount, including technical fees, of 80,154.04 euros, are partially financed by a subsidy from the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE), from the Cooperation Fund program of the 2023 Wind Plan.

As the mayor of Segorbe, M. Carmen Climent, has stated, “this action will mean a before and after for one of the strategic areas of the city, the part adjacent to the Plaza de la Cueva Santa. The objective of the government team is that progressively each place in Segorbe becomes fully accessible and renovated without exception.”

This work, which has already begun, will create accessible sidewalks, eliminating unevenness in the current ones, creating a level and marked sidewalk pavement, giving priority to pedestrians over road traffic, considering its location in the old town area. In addition to the renovation of urban facilities that are in disuse and lack of improvements.
