Bad news is coming for many taxpayers who could soon return to having to deal with the profitable nightmare, thus risking to close their doors.
The last few months have been marked by the impact of the Covid which has brought with it negative repercussions both from a social point of view and cheap. Many companies, due to various restrictions, have had to lower the shutters of their activities. If all this were not enough, to aggravate the situation, it is the fear that many have of having to deal, in the short term, with the much feared income meter.
The latter is presented as an instrument aimed at ascertain the level of income of people and check for any suspicious movements. To this end, we recall, the Ministry of Economy and Finance is evaluating how to formulate the new criteria to implement the controls on taxpayers. A situation that certainly does not go unnoticed, with many who risk being condemned to close.

Born to counter thetax evasion, the profit meter seems destined to return, bringing important changes with it. After being shelved in 2018, in fact, the Draghi-led government is thinking of reusing this tool. In this way we will try to discover the so-called crafty ones.
In this regard, we recall, the Finance Department of the Ministry of Economy has published on its own site a consultation with the categories on the draft decree with the elements through which to reconstruct the contributory capacity of taxpayers starting from 2016. The deadline for these consultations is set for next 15 July, with the checks that should be triggered in the event of deviations greater than 20%.
At the moment, as already mentioned, nothing has yet been established, with a few party members who have decided to express themselves on the matter. Some have called it a real nightmare, while others believe that it turns out to be the coup de grace for VAT and self-employed. In particular, opposition parties and workers affected by this situation express their dissent.
