Reddit Announces Number of Daily Users for the First Time: 52 Million | NOW

The forum site Reddit has for the first time announced how many users log in daily. The company says Tuesday The Wall Street Journal that in October this year, some 52 million people were active every day.

With that, the social network has grown 44 percent compared to October 2019. Reddit is announcing these numbers for the first time to “reflect user growth more accurately and to be more in line with industry reporting.”

Reddit was never very open about the number of visitors the service attracted. A year ago, the company announced in its annual review that it had 430 million monthly users. There were 330 million a year earlier.

Although Reddit is growing, it is still quite small compared to other social media. In comparison, Facebook has 1.8 billion daily users, Snapchat has 249 million and Twitter 187 million.
