During this season, Poya Asbaghi, 37, has been assistant coach to Milos Milojevic in the Serbian big club Red Star.

Recently, it became clear that the head coach would leave after the season, but there was no word on what was in store for Asbaghi.

Now departing Milos Milojevic confirms that Asbaghi ​​will also leave in connection with the contract expiring after the last league match against Čukarički on Sunday.

– He has a contract until the end of June and then he will leave. He has been a good right hand to me. He has done a really good job and is a very good coach, says Milojevic to the Football Channel.

He continues:

– I think his profile is more of a head coach. He has been before. If he gets the chance to show what he’s up to, I think he’ll prove that he’s good. I also think that his experience from here can help him because in many ways it is different to Sweden, you need to be a bit tougher. I think he is ready for very good clubs in Sweden.

Röda Stjärnan have won both the league and cup titles this season and the team has not lost a single domestic game with a round to play.

Poya Asbaghi ​​has previously coached IFK Göteborg, Barnsley, Gefle, Dalkurd and he was the national team captain for the Swedish U21 national team.
