Red Rover Interactive Secures $15 Million Funding Round for “All Against All” Games Development

case

Red Rover Interactive will develop “all against all” games.

This is how Red Rover Interactive envisions a post-apocalyptic train world.

Red Rover Interactive was started in 2023 to develop games for PUBG (Player Unknown Battleground), an online multiplayer battle royale game developed and published by PUBG Studios, itself a subsidiary of Krafton South Korea.

While parts of Red Rover Interactive are based in Newcastle in Great Britain, general manager Fred Richardson is based in Oslo.

He has been CTO at Funcom and has a total of more than ten years at the Norwegian gaming company. Richardson also has time off from major game developers such as Capcom and Ubisoft.

Several Funcom veterans, including Daniel Ratzer and Marek Zilavy, are also joining Red Rover Interactive.

A great tour to close

Krafton is now leading a funding round in the company of 15 million dollars, equivalent to 165 million Norwegian kroner. Participating in the round are Tirta Ventures, Overwolf, Mooin nan Ghammen, Behold Ventures, GEM Capital, Lifelike Capital and Acequia Capital.

The capital, which will go in addition to five million dollars from an earlier round, will go to the Coltrane development project, “a player-versus-player experience based in a post-apocalyptic train world”.
