Started in 2013 and motivated by the need to find enough blood for emergency relief and medical treatment, this program is held every summer. The duration of the operation, the number of participating localities and the amount of blood collected are constantly increasing. 58 of the 63 provinces and major cities of the country organized it, and were able to collect 700,000 units of blood. In addition to the blood collected, the Red Route has helped raise millions of people’s awareness of blood donation.
