Selular.ID – As previously reported, Nubia is preparing its newest gaming smartphone series, the Red Magic 7.
Reportedly, the new phone will be the first gaming phone to have a full-screen design without a frame.
The information comes from a tipster Digital Chat Station who further reveals that this series will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Then, it is also said that this series will be equipped with a 20,000 RPM active cooling fan to keep the phone cool during extended gaming sessions.
The front screen will sport a 165Hz OLED panel and the phone will also support 165W super flash charging, which looks set to be the fastest in the industry when the series goes live. Such speed will help the phone to reach 100% from 0% in about 10 minutes.
Gaming phones have always avoided adopting full screen displays as they are not the most ideal for gaming. The main complaint gamers have of bezel-less phones is that they are annoyed by the accidental touch of the edges they are holding.
It’s possible that Red Magic 7 will include things at the end of the software that will work around this limitation. A simple feature that reduces touch sensitivity around the edges when the game is detected in the foreground should suffice.
Another cool feature that will be packed by one of the models from the Red Magic 7 series is the under-display camera technology, which will once again be a first for a gaming phone. The screen will also be paired with an under-display fingerprint.
Finally, a recent teaser also revealed that the device has an AnTuTu score of 1,101,769 which is the highest in any gaming phone today.
