ARIZONA- The National Weather Service issued a red flag warning for southern Arizona until 7 p.m. for strong, gusty winds, low relative humidity and high fire danger. For more notices and warnings check the radar.
Winds from the southwest are expected to increase to 25 to 30 mph with gusts to 45 mph.
Additionally, a Flying Dust Advisory is in effect for portions of Cochise, Graham, and Greenlee counties from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Temperatures will be affected with highs that will reach the mid-70s in the morning and overnight lows are expected in the 20s, 30s and 40s.
An advisory for poor air quality has also been issued for Marana, Tucson, Green Valley and Vail. Gusts of wind will cause dust and these coarse particles could aggravate heart and lung conditions, so they recommend limiting time outdoors.
