Rumors about a Red Dead Redemption Remaster have been buzzing the internet for weeks. The fact that Rockstar updated their website with the code name “RDR1RSP” only makes us wonder when an official announcement will be made. Well, we don’t have to wait any longer.
It was just announced that Red Dead Redemption Remastered is coming to PS4 and Nintendo Switch on August 17. The physical version will arrive later on October 13th. In addition to the original game, this release will also include Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare, a massive zombie expansion pack in which John Marston faces off against a Wild West taken over by the undead as he searches for Wind Rolling Tomb Raider Seth of Grass Treasure.
From what Rockstar has provided on its website, this version doesn’t appear to have much to do with the remake. In fact, that’s how the game has played on the Xbox for years. Of course, with this release, the game is playable on PS4 thanks to backwards compatibility with PlayStation 5.
