Rockstar apparently wants to focus on expanding Red Dead Online, but the developers do not want to force players to buy Red Dead Redemption 2. From December 1, a standalone production will appear in digital stores, which will not be associated with the campaign:
“For the first time, new players who do not yet own Red Dead Redemption 2 can experience everything Red Dead Online has to offer, including access to all future updates”
Developers confirm that in the standalone Red Dead Online we will get access to all known modes, we will be able to freely create characters, run them around the game world or simply participate in subsequent challenges – those interested will check known roles.
Red Dead Online will be available on PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Launcher, Epic Games Store and Steam for $ 4.99 – a 75% discount compared to the normal price. The promotion will be available until February 15, 2021.
