The local unit of the Red Cross has just opened a Vesti-boutique, rue des Vieux-Capucins, which offers hundreds of items at low prices, sometimes less than a euro: clothes, toys, games, accessories, shoes, crockery, childcare items.
Around Siham Moreira da Silva, manager, volunteers are mobilized to ensure the reception of visitors and the sale: “The prices are symbolic. We often have new products sold at low prices. The Vesti-boutique is open the second Saturday of the month. On the shelves and shelves, clothes neatly arranged, washed and sorted, by age category; glasses, cutlery, cooking utensils.
These sales make it possible “to buy foodstuffs which are distributed twice a week to some 140 beneficiaries. The Red Cross provides two food distribution maraudes in the street, Friday and Saturday, intended for the most deprived, and where we meet between 50 and 80 people each evening”.
