mosquito (sf). By donating blood, people can easily save lives and get involved in helping others. The DRK Mücke is now calling for a blood donation appointment on Friday, October 18th.
The event takes place in the Protestant community center, the Anna-Weidig-Haus, on Merlauer Heegstrasse. In order to avoid waiting times, the Red Cross activists ask you to register for the appointment.
This can be done online at www.blutspende.de. You can simply enter Merlau as the location and quickly register. Anyone interested can also register by calling 0800 11 94911.
Around 15,000 blood donations are needed every day in Germany. Blood transfusions are needed for many vital operations and the treatment of chronic diseases in hospitals. Since blood cannot be produced artificially, many treatments cannot be carried out without donated blood. The problem: Blood doesn’t last long and so there are always bottlenecks in the blood supply. That’s why the local Red Cross association is calling for participation.
