The white sand beach in Locquirec. A figure walks there. The picture is in black and white. It’s winter. “I would like to run on the beaches in winter” sings Jean-Pierre Riou, the leader of the rock group Red Cardell.
An extract from the new album
The famous Breton group releases a first single “La ballade de 6 à 8” taken from its new album which will be released in March. A taste tinged with nostalgia.
“We wanted to take the opposite approach to what we are currently doing on stage. It’s a ballad with a lot of strings that reminded us of Led Zeppelin.”
Jean-Pierre Riou
The images are signed Béatrice Riou. A long sequence shot on which the words are embedded.
Childhood memories
» It inspires me to tell my childhood memories in Locquirec, the beach, the rocks, the customs officers’ path. »
Jean-Pierre Riou
The song was born while preparing the new album. One of the members of the group composed the grid by testing the sound of the model. Jean-Pierre Riou wrote a text on the melody that inspired him.

This year the group performed concerts from one end of Brittany to the other and even elsewhere.
A rather rock show but the next album will be more varied in the different registers of the group.
