Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo and Actor Will Arnett to Host Alternative Broadcast of F1 Canadian Grand Prix

Red Bull reserve driver Daniel Ricciardo and actor Will Arnett will host an alternate broadcast on ESPN during the F1 Canadian Grand Prix from June 16-18.

The debut episode of ‘The Grandstand’ with Daniel Ricciardo and Will Arnett will air June 18 on ESPN2 in the United States, while regular coverage of the Canadian Grand Prix race will air on ABC.

Two more editions of the broadcast will take place at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, Texas on October 22 and the inaugural Grand Prix in Las Vegas on November 18.

The broadcasts will be produced in collaboration with Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions, whose critically acclaimed ‘ManningCasts’ have become popular on NFL Monday Night Football.

Ricciardo, winner of eight Formula 1 Grand Prix and currently the third driver for Red Bull Racing, and Arnett, a recent F1 fan who starred in the hit TV series Arrested Development and 30 Rock, will have guests during the race.

For the next episode during the Canadian Grand Prix weekend, Ricciardo will be at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal, while Arnett will join from a remote location.

“This is going to be a lot of fun!” Ricciardo said. “Unsurprisingly, Will and I will have a bit of fun with the show, but we hope it feels like you’re watching F1 with your mates.”

“We’ll have some amazing guests, lots of laughs, and hopefully bring the fans one step closer to the sport I love so much. Buckle up, America!”

Arnett added: “The more I learn about Formula 1, the more it intrigues me. The opportunity to work with Mika [Hakkinen, dos veces campeón de F1] on my podcast she was fantastic, and I’m really looking forward to it. I can’t wait to do this show with Daniel. We’re going to have fun, and so will the viewers.”
