Salzburg coach Pepijn Lijnders gave his players two days off after the 2-0 win against Dynamo Kyiv.
After the important 2-0 win against Dynamo Kiev in the first leg of the Champions League play-offs, Salzburg coach Pepijn Lijnders gave his players Thursday and Friday off. Because the Bundesliga game against Hartberg scheduled for Saturday could be postponed – a new date has not yet been set – the Bulls can concentrate fully on the return match on Tuesday (9 p.m.) in Salzburg from Saturday onwards.
Two days off for the Bullen kickers
Before they could enjoy their free time, the Bullen players were greeted by new signing Bobby Clark at the Taxham training center on Thursday after their return from Poland. The Bullen players were able to exchange their first words with their new teammate. The fact that Red Bull Salzburg was able to sign one of the greatest English midfield talents caused a sensation on the island.
Some hurdles for Bobby Clark
It is not yet clear when the 19-year-old will make his first appearance for his new club. Clark is still behind on training due to a minor back injury, and he also has to overcome Austrian bureaucracy. Since Great Britain is no longer part of the EU, Clark is a non-EU foreigner and therefore needs a work permit. The midfielder can only be used once this has been approved. The English U20 team player would not have been an option for the Kiev return match anyway: he is not on the UEFA squad list for the play-off in the Champions League.
