Red Bull Salzburg signs defender from PSG | Kronen Zeitung

A new man for the Bulls’ defense! Red Bull Salzburg has secured the services of Joane Gadou. The 17-year-old center-back is moving from Paris Saint-Germain to the Mozart City club, signing a contract with the Austrian runners-up until 2027.

The tall Frenchman made 22 appearances for PSG’s U19 team last season, and now he is set to strengthen Salzburg’s defense. “Joane Gadou is an absolute top talent who had many different options for the next step in his career, but ultimately decided on us and our Salzburg path,” said Red Bull sports director Bernhard Seonbucher, looking optimistically towards their time together. “We are more than convinced of his qualities, but we also know that he is still very young and will of course give him time to mature.”

“Club that trusts young players”
Gadou himself is also looking forward to his time in Salzburg: “I am very happy that I have signed a contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg and can hardly wait to step onto the pitch in the stadium. Salzburg is a very good choice for me because it is a club that trusts young players and enables them to progress quickly. I want to achieve that too.”
