Red Bull Racing is dominant in Formula 1 this season when it comes to track performance. The question is whether Max Vestappen’s team, who will probably win his third title in a row in 2023, is also the best team in the pit lane?

After each race weekend, a total of twelve so far in 2023, DHL will award a prize and points for the fastest pit stop of the race weekend. The ten best pit stops receive the same number of points as the drivers receive during a race. The fastest pit stop therefore earns 25 points, the pit stop that ends up in P10 is worth one point. For the sake of clarity, these points do not count for the championship and are therefore mainly to show who performs most stable in the pit lane during the season. In the drivers’ and constructors’ championship, Red Bull dominates by winning all twelve races in 2023, but the team also appears to be dominant in the pit lane.

The team is in P1 in the standings with 333 points, which puts it more than fifty points ahead of Ferrari. The team is, perhaps a bit surprisingly, in P2 with 266 points and manages to keep McLaren well behind. McLaren has scored 161 points in the pit lane so far, while the top five is completed by Alpine (136 points) and AlphaTauri (121 points). Aston Martin and Mercedes therefore leave a lot of time in the pit lane with 78 points and 61 points compared to competitors Red Bull, Ferrari and McLaren. The standings are completed by Williams (30 points), Alfa Romeo (17 points) and Haas (9 points).
