As a Red Bull junior, Liam Lawson undoubtedly wants to prove himself in order to claim an F1 race seat at AlphaTauri. However, in the Japanese Super Formula race at Motegi, he caused a horror crash.
From P3 on the starting grid, Liam Lawson quickly managed to take second place at the start. Lawson then attempted to take the race lead on the outside. At the exit of the long winding corner, however, he lost control of his car.
Lawson spun and then ended up in the middle of the track, where of course all the other riders crashed. Part of the driver’s field managed to avoid Lawson, but two cars crashed into Lawson. Fortunately, everyone got off okay.
