Red Bull Racing started the second Formula One test week in Barcelona with difficulty. Alexander Albon was only able to complete 29 laps due to a technical problem.
The RB16 of the Thai teammate of Max Verstappen stayed in the garage box during the first three hours of the morning session with a suspension problem. In the end of the session, Albon was still able to go outside and he even rode the third fastest time with 1.17.550.
Newcomer Nicholas Latifi and Sebastian Vettel also did not have a flawless morning. The Williams driver had technical problems and the Ferrari driver spun off the track. After both incidents, the session was briefly stopped with a red flag.
Remarkably, Robert Kubica set the fastest time: 1.16.942. The Alfa Romeo spare driver, unlike almost everyone else, rode the fast, soft tires.
Behind Kubica, AlphaTauri driver Pierre Gasly and Albon, Lewis Hamilton finished fourth with 1.17.562. Mercedes already made a very strong impression in the first three-day test days and the team ran a race simulation of no less than 89 laps on Wednesday, the majority of all teams.

Ferrari again not up in times list
Ferrari seemed to hide a bit in the first test week. On Wednesday, Vettel, with the sixth time (1.18.113), again did not show the true potential of the car. He recorded no fewer than 84 rounds.
The afternoon part of the test day starts at 2 p.m. Then Verstappen gets behind the wheel of the Red Bull.
Also on Thursday and Friday there is still testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The first Grand Prix of the year is scheduled for 15 March in Australia.
