The manufacturer’s mono-material tube solutions for cosmetics guarantee a sustainable end of life with the possibility of recycling these packaging in existing channels. For this, Albéa made sure of it with RecyClass for Europe, but also with the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) in the United States.
Contribute to the ambitions of the fight against climate change
In order to install these new sustainable offers on the American market, the company has forged a partnership with UTCG, an intermediary between cosmetics players and formulators, and EXpackUSA, specializing in copacking and manufacturing. These two companies should make it easier for Albéa to offer its virtuous packaging to its customers across the Atlantic. All in a local production approach from the Albéa factory in Reynosa, Mexico.

EXpackUSA has therefore selected the Encore coextruded PCR tube – made from resins from household waste recycling – to offer it within its solutions offering. The CEO of the company, Nimrod Weigel, explains: “EXpackUSA’s mission is to bring inspiration to every brand and manufacturer around the world by creating innovative solutions with a smaller environmental footprint. This objective can only be achieved through cooperation between actors. That is why, from January 2022, EXpackUSA will offer its customers Albéa PCR tubes at no additional cost, as we believe that choosing the sustainable option should not be a question of price. “
