The Bicentennial University of Aragua (UBA) ventured into the online education modality for several years, with a learning platform for technological standards.
The rector of this house of study, Basilio Sánchez Aranguren, explained that the platform is made by specialists, under cutting-edge schemes in Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), learning and knowledge technologies and technologies for empowerment and participation.
The COVID-19 pandemic showed us the benefits of this learning strategy, when the world’s populations had to be reduced to the space of their homes and not be able to be present in any of the fundamental activities, including learning a profession or of a trade, he commented.
Another of the benefits is the educational and learning attention to users regardless of where they are, there they will receive the benefits of the online learning platform, and at their own pace, by self-management of knowledge, technologies and skills, to that they achieve 100% mastery of the subjects or modules that make up the contents of each career, he added.
Currently the UBA offers short and long courses; Among the first that lead to the title of Higher University Technician are: Computer Science, Foreign Trade, Audiovisual Media, Advertising and Marketing, Personnel Administration, Banking and Finance.
Regarding the long academic offer: Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Social Communication, Psychology, Business Administration, Accounting and Law.
In addition, the technical commissions appointed by the National Council of Universities approved six long careers, which await the resolutions of the Ministry of University Education, among them, Telecommunications Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Chemical Engineering, Bachelor’s Degree in Modern Languages.
