The Pôle Emploi workforce needs survey therefore delivered its results. “Occitanie is certainly a little behind the national trend, which shows a slight increase in recruitment intentions, but aeronautics and tourism weigh heavily on the regional labor market, and these are obviously sectors. very impacted ”, notes the director of Pôle emploi Occitanie, Thierry Lemerle.
The industry recorded the greatest decrease in projects (by 28%, or 2,800 fewer jobs), the decline being even more marked in metallurgy (- 57%) and transport equipment (- 67%). “In connection, moreover, with this air gap in aeronautics, hiring intentions drop considerably for certain profiles such as fitters and assemblers (by 73%), industrial engineers (by 37%), or again computer engineers (by 50%), who come out of the Top 10 of the most sought-after professions in Occitanie ”, indicates Pierre Brossier, the head of the Statistics, studies and evaluations department of Pôle emploi Occitanie.

Opportunities to be seized mainly in small businesses, nearly six out of ten projects being concentrated in companies with fewer than 10 employees. It is also always in Haute-Garonne and in Hérault that the opportunities will be the most numerous (approximately 50,000 intentions listed in each department), “the Hérault passing for the first time in front of the Haute-Garonne! », Observes the head of the statistics department.
Recruitments that some recruiters nevertheless still have difficulty achieving (for 43% of projects). Different reasons are put forward, but a problem of candidate motivation is observed in 60% of cases. A problem that seems to be growing … “We are going to activate the control of the job search for those who refuse several offers corresponding to their profile. The objective is to identify the obstacles, which are often due to a demotivation, and to provide tools and solutions to job seekers who would be in this situation. If the blockages persist, there could be radiation ”, informs the director of Pôle emploi Occitanie.
