DIDAM – After a few years of absence due to corona and changes within the board of the Foundation, we are now back in 2024. Together with some members of Triathliem, we are putting our shoulders to the wheel again this year. On Sunday, September 8, 2024, the time has come. On this Sunday, the Stichting Triathlon Didam (STD) will organize the 28th edition of the Triathlon Didam in the beautiful surroundings of the outdoor recreation area de Nevelhorst.
It promises to be another great sporting event with a choice of an eighth triathlon (individual or relay) and a quarter triathlon (individual or relay). Relay means that the triathlon is completed with a team of three people. A swimmer, a cyclist and someone who is responsible for the running.
The quarter triathlon consists of 1000 meters swimming. 40 km cycling and 10 km running. The eighth triathlon is half of that again, so 500 meters swimming, 20 km cycling and 5 km running.
The number of participants is limited to 100 participants per distance (excl. The teams). We have been out of it for a few years and that is why we are starting on a smaller scale, with a slightly modified course and therefore also some other facilities.
The start is at 10:00 am and it is expected that everyone will have finished by 1:00 pm.
