250 percent – as much in the first half of this year as compared to the previous year, the viewership of recreational plots increased. However, those interested in buying usually have limited budgets – up to a maximum of 50,000. zł.
Metrohouse data shows that the quarantine and home office revealed new needs, such as having an additional room for work or own plot and a house, even a summer house, to spend a pleasant time in forced retreat.
– It is in the segment of houses and plots that we observe a significant, greater than this normal, seasonal increase in inquiries. Access to water is often a key issue. For example, the inhabitants of Warsaw prefer traditional locations when searching: the vicinity of the Zegrze Reservoir, the Otwock line with Świder, or the cult ones, dominated by the inhabitants of the capital of Masuria, even for the price of a weekly, several-hour commuting and standing in traffic jams – explains Dariusz Mitrowski from Metrohouse.

Poles suddenly buy plots of land
– This year is unique in terms of interest in recreational real estate – added Marek Paprocki, the owner of the Metrohouse office in Siedlce.
As he noted, customers gave up giving themselves the so-called natural time to “think over the purchase”, which often takes months. – Their decisions were sudden and decisive, especially of people living in blocks of flats, who most often searched for something in the vicinity – up to a maximum of 10 km from their place of residence – he pointed out.
Budget: 50,000 zł
An increase in inquiries was also recorded by an agent from the Krakow office of Metrohouse Mariusz Bratek. He pointed out that “those interested in purchasing usually have quite limited budgets, up to a maximum of PLN 50,000”.
The analysis shows, however, that Warmia and Mazury enjoy continued popularity among buyers of recreational plots.
– Recently, we have noticed a huge increase in inquiries about plots with the shoreline of the lake or in its close vicinity, regardless of whether they are intended for recreational, construction or agricultural (habitat) plots. The location that favors recreation plays the most important role here – emphasizes Marta Śliwińska from the Metrohouse office in Iława.
