A biographical film on Édith Piaf is being produced in France. A voice recreated using artificial intelligence will tell the story on behalf of the singer.

According to sources close to Warner Music France, the creation of the reconstructed voice was made possible thanks to modern technology. To do this, hundreds of audio and video recordings of Edith Piaf dating back more than 80 years were analyzed.
The project’s announcement followed the successful release of the Beatles’ new single. AI was also able to locate John Lennon’s voice in an archive recording and add it to the track.
In the film about Edith Piaf, her voice will recount the unknown details of the singer’s life. Original recordings will be used for Piaf’s greatest hits.
The film is scheduled to be released after the special effects are finalized.
