“Recre Families: A Spring Break of Fun and Social Action in Saint-Martin-d’Hères”

As part of local social action, the CCAS of Saint-Martin-d’Hères and the Gabriel-Péri neighborhood center offered activities from April 12 to 22 during these spring holidays, more particularly intended for parents and to children in the context of “Recre families” workshops. As always, these workshops had different objectives, such as strengthening exchanges between residents of the neighborhood in order to promote better social integration, but also to promote better proximity and strengthen the bond between parents and children. Thus, on April 12, a nature lotto and a workshop entitled “Let’s invent our low carbon lives” were organized in order to raise awareness from an early age on environmental issues and the protection of nature. On Thursday April 13, a workshop appealed to the creative and artistic sense of the inhabitants, children and adults on the theme “mix, knead, that’s it”. On Friday 14, the children were responsible for proposing and organizing the afternoon entertainment. On April 17, the participants worked on objects from recycled flower materials. On Tuesday 18, Marjan, a resident of the neighborhood, allowed several families to discover the practice of watercolors and this Wednesday, April 19, a workshop “spring colors at the neighborhood center” followed the workshop of 17 April organized at the request of residents who regularly visit the neighborhood center and who wanted to participate in the decoration of their meeting place. This Thursday 20, it is Yasmin and Sofia, two little girls aged 9 and 10, residents of the district, who were keen to discover the flora and fauna of the place as part of a walk. And to conclude this week rich in activities at Gabriel-Péri, an afternoon called “musical stopover” will offer a snack with a gourmet coffee and karaoke more especially intended for an adult audience. For sure, these fifteen activities rich in activities allowed the Martinérois who remained in the commune to spend pleasant festive moments.
