To the rhythm of mariachi and tambora, singer Ana Gabriel turned the first of five concerts she will offer at the National Auditorium into a party, where she arrived last night with her tour Un deseo más, with which she celebrates 50 years of artistic career.
Looking much thinner and wearing a white suit, Ana Gabriel appeared on the stage of the National Auditorium at 9 p.m., where she was greeted with a loud ovation by her audience and began her show with the song “Esta noche.”
“Wow! And the years go by and I am back at the National Auditorium, although I know that many of you went to the Mexico City Arena last year, but I miss the Auditorium because I have you close by, so I thank you for having me here again and making this party happen,” said the singer from Sinaloa in her first conversation with the people.

He then gave way to some of his greatest hits such as “Cosas del amor”, “Tú y yo”, “Amor” and “Ni un roce”, but before that he commented that going up on a stage like this still gives him butterflies in his stomach. The rhythmic moment came with “No sabes”, “Mar y arena”, “Evidencias” and “Estas emociones”.
Seeing the euphoria she caused in the nearly 10,000 people, Ana Gabriel said: “I love you too, it is a reciprocal love that I receive because I let myself be loved, so let me love you because if not, I wouldn’t be able to stand on stage. I have been to several countries and I have felt so proud to carry the Mexican flag on my shoulders,” she then sang “Aquí estoy,” which resounded throughout the venue, as the audience sang it with her.
Proud as she said of feeling Mexican, she sang “México lindo y querido” at the top of her lungs, accompanied by the mariachi “Nuestro México.”
“How can I be in my homeland, my hometown, and not bring you this music? The time has come for songs that hurt, that make you cry, those that are dedicated, that are sung loudly, and it is impossible for you not to sing these songs,” said the singer.
“Mi talismán”, “No entiendo”, “Tu lo decidiste” and “A pesar de todos” were performed with feeling not only by Ana Gabriel, but also by the audience, mostly women, who enjoyed the show to the fullest.
“The only thing that weighs on me about this part of music is that they’ve already drunk all the alcohol, that’s why I say that with these songs they can ‘get their hands dirty’ and get rid of all the pain they have.”
“Cómo olvidar”, “Ahora”, “Huelo a soledad”, “Hechizo” and “Hasta que te conocí”, with which he paid tribute to his great friend Juan Gabriel, closed this moment and he explained that on September 15 he will be celebrating 50 years of career, which is why he decided to do a tour as long as this one.

“I am talking about a 50-year career and 68 years of age, continuing to hold my head high and taking care of myself for you, but the sacrifice is not that great because you do what you love, even though you may let many things go, love, partners, children.”
In the final stretch of the show, the music of his homeland Sinaloa could not be missed, and he explained that this music was popular because it is very cheerful, so his group of musicians in a matter of seconds transformed into a band from Sinaloa, whose name was A Guevo Jarochos, with which he performed the classics “Mi gusto es”, “El sauce y la palma” and “El sinaloense”.
“Life has been so good to me despite what it cost me to get here, and if you asked me what I would like to be if I were born again, I would say the same. I will never stop being the crazy girl that I am, that is how my parents and my sister raised me, free. Thank you Mexico for letting me be born here and thank you for always accepting my singing,” was how Ana Gabriel ended this first concert at the National Auditorium.
