Recover your hacked Snapchat account: Simple steps to regain access

Method 1: Contact Snapchat Support Team

Let’s start with the worst-case scenario: Let’s say you no longer have access to your account. The hackers have changed your email address and phone number, so you can no longer log into your account. In this case, the best thing to do is contact Snapchat’s support team.

  1. Go to Snapchat support Page via this link.
  2. Choose I think my account has been compromised from the “Send Request” page.
  3. Now fill out the form below with the required information and click on Submit.

Method 2: Change your Snapchat login password

If you can still log into your account but suspect someone is constantly logging you out, you can give them a taste of their own medicine. How? By changing your account password and locking them out. Here’s how to do it.

  1. On the login page, tap Forgot your password?.
  2. Choose now between By Phone or By Email.
  3. Enter the email address or phone number associated with your account, then click Submit.
  4. On the next page, enter the six-digit code or use the link you received by email.
  5. Now create a new password for your account and tap Save.

Method 3: Remove other registered devices

Using the method above, you have logged in or gained access to your account. Then the next step is to kick the hacker out. You can do this through the Session Manager on Snapchat. You can manage all the devices logged in with the same account. Let’s see how to remove the hacker using this method.

  1. On Snapchat, tap your Avatar-Symbol top left.
  2. Then tap the Gear symbol top right to open Snapchat settings.
  3. Scroll down here and select Session management.
  4. Press the x-Symbol on any other device signed in to your account.
  5. Choose OK in the confirmation prompt.

  2. Tap the Minus – Symbol next to the unknown device.

Remove Snapchat login information

Once you log out, the hacker can’t log back in. This is true if you changed the password using the method described above. For additional security, set up two-factor authentication and get a recovery code for your account.
