Recover files: Microsoft already has an official application to recover deleted data

Microsoft has an application, known as Windows File Recovery, which allows users of your Windows 10 operating system to recover deleted files or lost data from your hard drives. It is similar to classic applications of the heading, like Recuva, by Piriform or the Data Recovery Wizard de Easeus.

As explained Microsoft On the app page, the app is aimed at people who mistakenly delete important files even from Windows Trash, they lose information or have had problems with corrupt data.

Windows File Recovery It includes support to recover different file extensions of images, documents and videos. These include MP3, MP4, PDF, JPEG, and Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents, but not files stored in the cloud.

For PC and memory cards

Likewise, it is not only possible to access deleted files in the computer memory again, but also to recover deleted data from hard drives, cameras and SD storage cards.

As explained by Microsoft support, the Windows file system creates a free space in memory when the user deletes a file, so it is still possible to recover it. Also, the Microsoft application works for both devices with NTFS , the file system used by Windows, as for those who use other storage technologies ( FAT, exFAT y ReFS ).

Windows File Recovery use a specific command line to recover files, and is available for free download and is compatible with Windows 10 in versions 19041 and newer.
