Recordings ‘The Mandalorian’ S3 start very quickly

Season 2 is just underway, when Disney has already set its sights on new episodes!

Last week the second season of The Mandalorian on Disney +, but the producers are already working hard on new episodes. Deadline reports that Lucasfilm may start shooting next week, but this could also be postponed to the end of November / beginning of December. Either way, fans can rest assured that the third season is coming next year.

This report from Deadline ties in with the comments creator and showrunner Jon Favreau made last month. Favreau told Variety that The Mandalorian is on track and that shooting should resume before the end of the year. In addition, Favreau is said to have worked on the scenarios well before Lucasfilm gave the green light.

What awaits us?

Deadline also reports that they found out through Production Weekly that the third season of The Mandalorian under the working title Buccaneer will be filmed, which will lead to speculation among hardcore fans. In terms of casting, Deadline indicates that Sophie Thatcher has an as yet unknown role in the new season.
