Czech police said the cocaine shipment was a record.
Employees of the Albert supermarket chain in Klechany, near the Czech capital of Prague, discovered suspicious packages while unloading boxes of bananas and contacted the police.
How informs Czech television channel TV Nova, the police, having arrived on a call, seized a total of 646 kilograms of cocaine hidden among bananas.
Each of the 42 crates commonly used to transport bananas contained more than 15 kilograms of drugs.

The police noted that the seized amount of the drug probably belongs to one of the largest parties in the Czech Republic. For almost four hours, drugs were loaded into police cars.
According to TV Nova, the police conducted searches at other network warehouses across the country, but drugs were not found in other places.
“We searched the entire batch of bananas that was heading to the Czech Republic from Ecuador via Amsterdam,” explained Lucy Shmoldasova, a spokeswoman for the National Drug Control Center.
According to her, probably, one of the organizers of drug trafficking did not have time to seize the drugs from the cargo of bananas.
Recall that in March of this year, the Ecuadorian police found almost 8.8 tons of cocaine among the bananas delivered to Belgium.
