The province now has 3,916 deaths from the virus.
With the 1,848 new cases of COVID-19 reported on Friday, Ontario now has 136,631 infections, cumulative. The regions of Toronto and Peel remain particularly affected by the health crisis with 469 and 386 new cases respectively on Friday.

On Twitter, he also indicated that “each death is one death too many. The sharp rise in deaths is the result of the rise in cases and hospitalizations in recent weeks. We are asking to limit our contacts to protect our loved ones, our health network and our network staff ”.
Cases in Montreal have gone from 630 Thursday to 514 Friday. They also fell significantly in Quebec (304 to 143) and Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean (137 to 79). On the other hand, they increased in Lanaudière (82 to 143), in Estrie (108 to 129) and in Chaudière-Appalaches (99 to 106).
Manitoba has counted 447 cases and 14 deaths, pushing its numbers to 20,392 infections and 465 fatalities.
Nunavut has added 16 cases to its toll and Nova Scotia 9 infections.
As of Friday afternoon, Canada had 446,100 cases (+4033) and 13,221 deaths (+112).
