A huge increase in the number of cruise passengers to Qatar during the season. 2.73 lakh passengers arrived in Qatar, 166 percent more than last year. According to figures released by Mawani Qatar, 55 ships arrived at Doha port this cruise season. 2.73666 passengers and crew were on board. There was a 62 percent increase in the number of cruise ships and a 166 percent increase in the number of passengers compared to last year.
The figures bolster Qatar’s efforts to make cruise tourism a major revenue stream. During the season, many of the world’s most important cruise ships arrived at the shores of Doha. The German ship Idacosma, which arrived on April 10, was the last ship to arrive in Qatar during the season.
