The market in our country has grown by 25% on an annual basis, most dealers are preparing for record revenues
The Bulgarian market of new cars reports another very strong month in October – with 4256 new registrations and with a serious shift in the ranking by models, according to the traditional report of Automedia.bg. Toyota Corolla, which was the most popular car in our country last year and for most of this year, is now only in third place. The Toyota C-HR is the best-selling new car in Bulgaria in October, but this is not enough to overtake the Dacia Sandero in the year-to-date ranking
Since the beginning of the year, 35,553 new cars in the M1 and N1 categories have been registered in our country, which is a growth of 25.1% compared to 2022. If the pace is maintained in the remaining two months, sales will cross the 40,000 mark – for the first time since 2019 and only for the third time in the last 15 years. Considering the dramatically increased prices, we can suggest that this year’s income of most dealers will be an absolute record in their history.
Although it has relinquished the top spot for best-selling models, Toyota is still the clear leader with 4,207 registrations, ahead of Skoda – 3,248, Renault – 3,206, Volkswagen – 3,169, Dacia – 3,017, Hyundai – 2,244, and Kia – 2,035.
Among the models, the largest market growth on an annual basis is the Tesla Model Y – almost 360%. Ford can boast two models among the five with the most increased sales, but in the case of the Ranger (257%) the reason is mainly a generous order from the Ministry of the Interior, and in the case of the Fiesta (254%) – the fact that the model was finally discontinued by production in June, and fans are rushing to get their hands on the last few. The remaining three-digit growth models are Skoda Kamiq, VW Taigo, Skoda Octavia, Dacia Spring, Kia Rio and VW Caddy. The 50 best-selling new cars in Bulgaria in 2023 (GALLERY):
